Section 4 - Full arch replacement in the upper jaw
Due to the different bone structure the use of stud retained over-dentures is problematic. It is therefore necessary to have four implants as a minimum in the upper jaw, connected together with a bar to provide a secure fitting. This provides firm fixation and in many cases the ability to provide a denture of smaller dimensions with a palate free from denture material.

Costs from £8,900
Option Two - Upper Jaw
In the upper jaw the use of the Syncone technology also enables us to provide simplified treatment for a patient requiring a securely fixed restoration. In these situations the placing of four or six implants allows for the placing of a horseshoe prosthesis of minimal dimension and is rigidly fixed into position. Again it must be understood that this prosthesis is detachable by the patient for cleaning but should otherwise be worn throughout the day. In the upper jaw, due to the different structures, the construction of a new prosthesis to be attached to the Syncone components is required, as it is essential to have a metal-based strengthener within this prosthesis.
Costs - upper jaw from £6,900
Option Three - Replacement of all the upper teeth with full implant-supported bridge
Assuming sufficient implants can be placed into the upper jaw, full replacement of teeth can be achieved. In some situations the use of immediate loading technology can be applied, however this is dependent on sufficient bone being present. In most situations the provision of a sufficient number of implants allows for fixed bridgework. However, a minimum of six implants is required and in some situations more are required if there is reduced volume and quality of bone.
Costs from £13,480
Option Four - The use of a precision milled detachable bridge
In some situations where patients have been without teeth in the upper jaw for many years, or where they have particularly high aesthetic demands, the use of a precision milled detachable bridge provides the only predictable outcome. In this situation multiple implants will be placed into the upper jaw. A precision milled titanium or gold bar is connected to these and then a detachable prosthesis is connected to this, which is again removable by the patient. This provides the next best thing to natural teeth in complex cases where patients have lost a significant amount of bone due to dental disease or trauma, or if there are other complicating factors creating a problem with the use of fixed implant supported bridges. Cost from £15,120
